At Unity, you do not just join a school; you join a commUnity.

Parent volunteerism and participation is an important part of our charter and philosophy.  We have designed our learning environment such that parents can be involved in all levels of the school, including instruction, serving on board committees, fund-raising through the Parent’s Association, assisting with our vegetarian, zero-waste lunch program, gardening, and building and playground maintenance.  Parents are encouraged to participate according to their interests and talents.

In addition to demonstrating important principles of community service, sustainability and commUnity building to our students, parent volunteerism saves our small charter school significant funds.  We encourage all parents to volunteer in some capacity during the school year.
