As part of the PTO’s efforts to provide cultural activities for students, Hip Hop Fundamentals came to Unity today Friday January 29, 2016 to celebrate the history of hip hop through dance and music. By using dance, interactive lecture and audience participation, Hip Hop Fundamentals educated, inspired and entertained our students K-8. They explained to the students the origins of Hip Hop, a cultural movement that began among urban youth in New York City in the mid-1970s and has since spread around the world. As you can see from the pictures, both students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the performances provided by Hip Hop Fundamentals as well as those who participated.
